Who We Are
DatiItalia is an open data platform for visualizing public data about all 7,896 Italian municipalities. The site is accessible at datitalia.eu. The data displayed comes from official public sources (ISTAT, MEF, ISPRA) and is released under the CC-BY 4.0 license.
Data Collected
DatiItalia collects the bare minimum of data:
- Anonymized navigation data: through Plausible Analytics (cookieless, GDPR-compliant service, no personal data collected, no cross-site tracking).
- Technical error data: through Sentry for application error monitoring, to improve service stability.
- Cookie consent preferences: stored locally in your browser via the
cc_cookiecookie.
We do not collect personally identifiable data, we do not use profiling cookies and we do not sell data to third parties.
Legal Basis
The processing of anonymized navigation data is based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for the operation and improvement of the service. The technical consent cookie is necessary to comply with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). The use of Sentry is based on user consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
